Because my mother didn't love me in a healthy manner, I didn't learn to love myself. My mother didn't love herself. I imagine it is the same for Fathers and Sons but I don't know. It has to be hard to be angry with your mother when she doesn't even remember what you are angry about. You have a right to whatever you feel about your mother. If you have dealt with the anger and pain, you can forgive and finally let go. Forgiveness gives you freedom from the pain and control of your parents.
